Plant leads FHSAA all-sports standings

GAINESVILLE – Plant has a 50-point lead over Orlando Olympia in the Class 8A division following fall sports competition in the 2011-12 FHSAA Floyd E. Lay Sunshine Cup All-Sports Awards point standings.

Other area schools in the top 10 are Wiregrass Ranch (Class 7A, seventh); Jesuit (Class 5A, fourth); Berkeley Prep (Class 4A private, third); Holy Names (Class 4A private, seventh), and Tampa Prep (Class 3A private, fourth).

Other class leaders are Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas (7A), Bradenton Lakewood Ranch (6A), Plantation American Heritage (5A), Jacksonville Bolles (4A private), Cocoa Beach (4A public), Tallahassee Maclay (3A private), Gainesville P.K. Yonge (3A/2A public), St. Petersburg Canterbury (2A private) and Union County (1A) lead their respective categories.
