UPDATE: After getting knocked out of the championship bracket in the first round of the Nike 7On tournament, Plant worked their way through the consolation bracket to reach the consolation championship game.
Plant reached the consolation title game against Cleveland’s Glenville High with a 19-13 victory against Texas’ Martin High. Plant then fell to Glenville, 25-21.
The Panthers hopes of grabbing a second Nike 7On championship were dashed earlier on Friday.

The Panthers were eliminated in the first round of the championship bracket of the third annual event with a 20-7 loss to California’s Gardena High.
Plant opened the tournament with a 2-1 record in pool play. Their lone loss on Thursday was to Miami Northwestern.
ESPNU will broadcast highlights from today’s action at 9 p.m.
