Plant-Hillsborough football game canceled

The Plant-Hillsborogh football game as been canceled because of inclement weather.

The game was originally scheduled to be played Friday night but was postponed because of inclement weather and rescheduled for Saturday at 4 p.m. However, thunderstorms continue to roll through the Bay area, causing the game to be canceled. Because the Panthers and Terriers are not district opponents, the game will not be made up.

Two other games invovling Hillsborough County teams also were postponed Friday night and rescheduled for Saturday - East Bay at Bloomingdale and Brandon at Durant.

Durant coach Mike Gottman said his team’s game is still on and scheduled for a 5 p.m. kickoff, not 7 p.m. as previously reported. East Bay coach Brian Thornton said his team’s game is still on for a 5 p.m. kickoff as well.
