Plant City senior baseball player Kyle Madill has committed to the University of South Carolina-Upstate, Raiders coach Mark Persails confirmed Wednesday.
Madill, an infielder, has been one of the Raiders’ top offensive threats in each of the past two seasons. He hit hit a team-best .375 last season and also led the team in runs scored (21), stolen bases (nine), doubles (six) and triples (four). As a sophomore, Madill posted team-bests in batting average (.367), doubles (four), triples (two) and RBIs (17).
USC-Upstate is a Division I program that competes in the Atlantic Sun Conference. Madill will sign his Letter-of-Intent on Thursday.
