That YouTube clip of former USF defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul doing back-flips after a practice in Toronto at the International Bowl has been a hit at the NFL combine.
We’ve all heard that old saying that immitation is the greatest form of flattery, right?
Looks like Pierre-Paul has at least one challenger for best back-flipper in this year’s draft.
NFL.com caught up with Wayne State’s Joique Bell, the Division II national player of the year on Sunday.
Check out Bell’s back-flip routine after the brief commercial introduction.
If you’re like me and don’t know much about Bell, here is a scout’s take on Bell on NFL.com:
RB Joique Bell, 5-11/220
STRENGTHS
Bell has a really nice blend of size and speed. Was a highly productive player in college. Displays impressive balance on contact, will break tackles and pick up extra yards after contact. Does a good job of running behind his pads. Shows good vision behind the line.
WEAKNESSES
Bell was not challenged by a high level of competition in college. Needs some refinement with route running skills. Needs to run sharper routes in general. Fumbling has been an issue for Bell and ball security must be improved.
