NEW YORK—Carlos Pena and B.J. Upton haven’t done much at the plate to be remember for so far this season, but together, they stand alone in baseball history.
Upton’s first strikeout Wednesday was his 150th of the season making he and Pena the first teammates in MAJOR LEAGUE HISTORY to each strikeout 150 times in consecutive seasons.
Pena, who struck out 163 times last season, has 150.
Upton wiffed 152 times in 2009.
