Pena 9th in MVP voting

Dustin Pedroia is the American League MVP, becoming just the third player to earn top honors the season after being named Rookie of the Year.
The Rays had some representation on the ballot, which requires voters to rank their top 10 candidates. Carlos Pena finished ninth in the voting this year after being named on 13 of the 28 ballots. Evan Longoria, who was named on 12 ballots, finished 11th. Jason Bartlett also appeared on one ballot, earning a fifth-place nod.
This was the top 10 I submitted to the BBWAA:
1. Justin Morneau
2. Dustin Pedroia
3. Carlos Quentin
4. Joe Mauer
5. Kevin Youkilis
6. Grady Sizemore
7. Evan Longoria
8. Francisco Rodriguez
9. Josh Hamilton
10. Alex Rodriguez
