HUDSON—Prior to Friday’s night’s Pasco/Hudson football game, Pirates Athletic Director Jim Ward said DL Mylon Brown will miss at least four more weeks due to knee surgery.
The timing of the surgery means that Brown, a Division I FBS college prospect, will miss two district games, including the annual rivalry with Zephyrhills in two weeks, as well as next week’s highly anticipated showdown with Nature Coast, a perceived matchup between the best teams from Pasco and Hernando County.
Though the exact details of the injury remain unclear, Brown was injured during the Pirates’ victory against Sebring two weeks ago, and has missed the last two games against Wesley Chapel and Hudson.
After winning the first two games (with Brown) by a combined 34 points, the Pirates have stretched their win streak to four without him, but the wins have come by 1 and 2 points, respectively.
