Pirates quarterback D.J. Clower received his latest scholarship offer when North Carolina A&T offered him a football scholarship, according to Pirates coach Tom McHugh. Clower, who completed 86 of 172 passes for 1,525 yards, 15 touchdowns and nine interceptions, was offered by Florida A&M this summer.
Pasco kicker Brennan Allen was offered a scholarship Iowa Western Community College’s football and baseball teams. If he accepts that offer, Allen, also an outfielder and pitcher, will be able to play both sports.
Allen, who connected on 40 extra points, seven field goals and booted 37 of his 55 kickoffs into the end zone, will travel to Las Vegas this weekend to participate in the Eighth Annual National Kicking Competition hosted by Chris Sailer Kicking.
