Pasco football players off to camp

According to Pasco High football coach Tom McHugh, two more of his kids will be going camping this summer.

Speedy receiver Hakeeme Ishmar and lineman Jamall Carter will join teammate Jamie Byrd at the Football University Top Gun Camp in Long Island, New York in July.

Ishmar, a junior, led the Pirates in receiving yards (400) in 2009. In all, he caught 21 passes and scored four TDs.

Byrd, who attended the camp last summer, led Pasco in tackles for a second consecutive season. The junior collected 101 stops, six sacks, forced three fumbles, and recovered four. He also rushed 27 times for 136 yards and two scores, Byrd scored two additional touchdowns on defense.
