Pasco County nets eight early signees

Monday afternoon, Bishop McLaughlin’s Nicole LeGath and Mitchell’s Cortney Radke became the latest Pasco County athletes to ink their names to a national letter-of-intent.

LeGath, who played three seasons for the Hurricanes volleyball team and one with the softball team, will participate on the Nova Southeastern rowing team. Meanwhile Radke signed her letter-of-intent to play of the for the University of North Florida’s softball team. Radke will be an addition to the Ospreys’ pitching staff.

LeGath’s and Radke’s signings brings the Pasco County total to eight, who signed during the early signing period.

Thursday at Wiregrass Ranch, Regan Knapik and Spencer Bowles became the school’s first Division I and Division II signees. Knapik will play softball at Florida Gulf Coast University and Bowles will play baseball at Saint Leo University.

Also on Thursday, Kianna Mills, who plays power forward and center for the Buccaneers, signed her letter to play basketball at Coppin State University in Baltimore, Maryland; Zephyrhills’ Lacey Cook signed a letter-of-intent to play softball at George Washington University.

Friday, Land O’ Lakes seniors Kasey Murray and Jason Garcia also signed letters-of-intent. Garcia will play baseball at Florida Atlantic University, while Murray will play softball at Lynn University.
