Tampa’s Jordan Parnell earned tournament MVP honors as his team, the Orlando-based Chet Lemon’s Juice Under-12 team, won the inaugural National Youth Baseball Championships with a 12-1 win against Southeastern Lexington (Ky.) on Sunday in Memphis, Tenn.
The National Youth Baseball Championships brought the national champions of eight different youth baseball organizations together, with the Juice representing AAU baseball.
Parnell had a pair of doubles and three RBIs in the Juice’s championship game victory. He also drove in a run during the Juice’s 5-4 extra innings win against the Norwalk (Calif.) Stingrays in the semifinals.
