For those fans attending the NHL All-Star Game and festivities in Ottawa this week (and really, how many of you here in the Tampa Bay area are actually making the trip?), Panini America will have a special promotion that will please hockey card fans.
When the NHL All-Star fan fair begins Thursday, Panini will have special three-card wrapper-redemption packs available to collectors who open select 2011-12 hockey products. While supplies last, of course. Some of the cards one might win are special All-Star patch cards. The one I am including of Lightning star Steven Stamkos is a nice example of how attractive these cards are.
So here’s the deal, according to Panini:
Collectors who open four hobby packs of 2011-12 Pinnacle Hockey will receive one wrapper-redemption pack. If you open two hobby packs of 2011-12 Certified Hockey, you also will receive a wrapper-redemption pack. Open a box of Score Hockey and you will receive two wrapper-redemption packs. And if you dig into your wallet and open one hobby pack of 2011-12 Limited Hockey, you will receive four wrapper-redemption packs.
And even if you can’t make the trip to Ottawa, there is still a way to participate in the program, as Panini will provide a wrapper-redemption program online. Details on that option to be released soon.
