Alonso pitcher Nathan Hahn and outfielder Ryan Valdes have each committed to playing college baseball. Hahn will stay local, committing to the University of South Florida, while Valdes committed to Florida State.
Each played essential roles in allowing the Ravens to win the 2011 Class 6A state title.
Hahn, who picked up the win in relief duty against Deltona in the state title game, went 2-1 and had one save this season, posting a 2.19 ERA with 28 strikeouts.
This past season, Valdes hit .388, scoring 28 runs with five home runs. He also recorded 33 putouts on defense. In the Class 6A-Region 2 semifinals against Plant, Valdes hit two homers, doubled, scored three runs and had four RBIs.
