Overcast day at Al Lang
Posted Mar 4, 2008 by Marc Lancaster

Gray skies and windy here at Al Lang. Sounds like some inclement weather is headed in this afternoon; as always, we’ll have to wait and see how it goes.
On the news and notes front this morning, we talked for a while with Joe Maddon about how impressive it was that Brian Anderson was scheduled to make his first Grapefruit League appearance tomorrow, then were told immediately after that session that the lefty will throw a bullpen instead. He’s down for one inning in Saturday’s game, as is David Price (who will throw batting practice tomorrow). Scott Kazmir continues to progress, working on the much-beloved “sock drill” today. Reid Brignac is slated to play for the first time today, taking over for Jason Bartlett at shortstop.
The lineups:

Bartlett SS
Pena 1B

Also scheduled to pitch: Reyes, Wheeler, Miller, Glover, Dohmann, Birkins, Medlock, Ryu
