That chill in the air just won’t go away and in light of the wintery conditions, Pasco County’s supervisor of athletics, Phil Bell, announced the cancelling of tonight’s outdoor games due to the plummeting mercury.
The decision was made following a meeting this morning with Bell and other school district supervisors.
The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning in addition to a hazardous weather outlook to Pasco County and surrounding areas warning an arctic high pressure will bring subfreezing temperatures into the area Monday night into Tuesday morning.
Today’s high of 52 degrees will eventually make way for readings in the upper 20s.
