CDS Prep, which enjoyed its most successful season in the program’s brief existence in 2009, didn’t have any senior players sign to play at the next level during National Signing Day.
But it could happen soon, according to Patriots coach Lane McLaughlin.
McLaughlin said seniors Darius Bing, Billy Embody and Matt Monteilh all likely will get a chance to continue playing next year.
Embody, a quarterback, already has two trips scheduled this month. Monteilh, a receiver, has visited to the Coast Guard Academy and will likely sign there. And Bing, a running back/defensive back, has received interest from several schools, and McLaughlin thinks his recruitment will intensify next weekend at the recruiting fair at East Bay.
“He should be a star at (the) East Bay recruiting fair,” the coach said via text message.
