BALTIMORE—This is the end, boys and girls. After 11 days that seemed like 111, the Rays will get on a plane bound for St. Pete tonight instead of another AL East destination.
That flight can’t come soon enough for those in the visitors’ clubhouse at Camden Yards, but of course there is some business to be seen to first. The Rays, 1-9 on this swing through New York, Boston and Baltimore, will look to avoid matching their most losses ever on a road trip, a 2-10 mark accomplished on a four-city jaunt in 2005.
Wade Davis is on the mound for the Rays to make his third career start, and B.J. Upton is on the bench to start things off with Fernando Perez getting the call in center.
Here’s the full rundown:
Bartlett SS
Crawford LF
Longoria 3B
Zobrist 2B
Burrell DH
Aybar 1B
Kapler RF
Navarro C
Perez CF
Davis P
