Jeff Niemann becomes the first Rays pitcher to go four innings.

The big righty allowed two hits—one was a home run by Chad Moeller—struck out two and didn’t walk a batter.

The Rays built a 3-1 lead after four innings.

Evan Longoria doubled home Sean Rodriguez in the first inning.

Carl Crawford reached in a catcher’s interference in the third, stole second, continued to third on a throwing error and scored on Longoria’s sac fly.

Reid Brignac drove in the third run with a sac fly in the fourth.

The highlight of the game through four innings was the 6-4-3 double play started by Rodriguez (playing short) to Brignac to Carlos Pena.
