The league today announced the national television schedules, and the Lightning are set to appear on Versus four times, including the Sunday, Oct. 5 game in Prague, Czech Republic, vs. the New York Rangers, a noon start time. The other three games are: Nov. 10 at Washington, Dec. 2 at Philadelphia and March 3 at home against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

For other outlets, the Lightning will be on CBC’s Hockey Night in Canada (minus Canada’s second national anthem, which is now owned by TSN’s parent company) on Oct. 4 for the season opener. The only othere scheduled appearance for the Lightning on CBC’s Hockey night is March 29 at home against Ottawa.

Canada’s TSN will air four Lightning games: Oct. 28 at Toronto; March 11 at Ottawa; March 17 vs. Toronto and March 26 at Montreal.

NBC will be using a flex schedule, so the only games NBC has on its schedule are the New Year’s Winter Classic at Chicago’s Wrigley Field between the Blackhawks and the Red Wings and then Pittsburgh vs. NY Rangers on Jan. 18.

Got word from the folks over at Sun Sports and as of today they don’t have a target release date for the broadcast schedule and didn’t have any indication as to whether or not they will be broadcasting the season opener in Prague on Oct. 4 against the New York Rangers.
