Adam “Pacman’’ Jones learned his fate Tuesday and it wasn’t what he had hoped for.
The embattled Cowboys CB was suspended indefinitely without pay by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell for his role in what the league termed an “alcohol-related’’ incident Oct. 8. Jones, who was suspended for the entire 2007 season for multiple violations of the NFL Personal Conduct Policy, will miss at least the next four games, including the Oct. 26 matchup against Tampa Bay.
Goodell will determine the final length of the suspension after Nov. 16.
A week ago, Jones was involved in an altercation with a Cowboys-assigned bodyguard at a downtown Dallas hotel.
In a letter to Jones, the NFL commissioner said the former Titans CB would be suspended due to “a disturbing pattern of behavior and clearly inconsistent with the conditions I set for your continued participation in the NFL.’’
