I think the jersey is kind of cool looking.  So what if it says bolts….I am a season ticket holder and I hear the name used all the time at the forum.  I think using a nickname for the team is pretty clever if you ask me…  GO BOLTS!

Like the blue, hate the “Bolts”. The problem with it isn’t the nickname itself—sure, pretty much everyone uses it at least occasionally—it’s that it isn’t the name of the team. Putting a nickname as the logo is beyond hokey. Certainly puts some weight behind the “stupid cowboy” accusations, to me. Not to mention the whole “let’s just write a word and call it a logo” is a complete cop-out.
Really like the blue though.

Chris, Tampa’s 3rd jersey is far from hideous compared to the Thrashers recent unveiling. Honestly I am surprised it looks this good. I was bracing for the worse but the color scheme seemed to be put together pretty well.

Ugh with the “Bolts”. It’s way to cheezy. Now, I like the nickname, but not for the uni. Put “Lightning” or “Tampa Bay” and the new jersey is fine… not great or imaginative, but ok.
Love the blue as the main color though! Wish they’d switch that to their main home color permanently!

Ummmmm….don’t freak out but, you’re all reading the BOLTS Report right now. It’s only a 3rd jersy, it won’t show up in games that often. Take it for what it really is… just a means of generating revenue. At least it doesn’t say the “NING”!!
Personally I’m still wearing the 06/07 sweater.

I agree,  the Bolts need to use this color scheme as their home jerseys. I can’t stand the black, its as bland as the team is currently playing. Inject some life in the team with this being our home jersey all season, make black the alternate. But…. Please use Lightning and not Bolts…Go Bolts and Rays

I’m sorry but they could’ve had a real good thing here but they have failed miserably. I have seen some third jerseys gone wrong before but putting a nickname on the front is a whole new low…at least they decided to leave out the stormy waters and streaking yellow lightning bolts this time. At least they couldve gone with the teams secondary logo that just shows the Bolt over FL, I think that wouldve looked much better on those blue jerseys. But what I really wouldve loved to see wouldve been the original “Lightning” logo with a new RBK jersey styling…

Very AHL, but nice color. It would look nice as a t-shirt, but not a jersey. Carolina has a really nice third this year. Doesn’t say “CANES”.

The colors I like, the word bolts, not so much. I mean the new logo with florida and the two toned lightning bolt would have looked better. Just my two cents.

Will be interesting to see how many of them sell when they go down to the bargain bin.

I don’t know if I am in a minority here, but I loved the original 3rd jersey.  I have tried for years to try to find one to buy.  So I wish this 3rd jersey would be something a little more unique.  I do like the new color scheme, but boring looks.

What’s up with crappy jerseys the last couple years. This is hideous, as is Atlanta’s 3rd jersey, Vancouver’s main jersey & Dallas’s home jersey. Spelling out your your team’s name or city on the front of your jersey is just lame unless you are the Rangers. Come up with a cool new logo or something. We’re the Lightning for crying out loud… it’s a very visual name and lends itself to all kinds of cool logos. I like the color of this jersey though. I’m really getting tired of black jerseys.
