Plant’s Aaron Murray received two more offers to add to his rather long list.
Oregon and Central Michigan are the latest to offer scholarships to the junior quarterback. Murray also received a rather unique invitation.
The Tampa Bay Bucs called Murray and asked him to participate in an invitation-only quarterback camp at One Buc Place on Saturday. Coach Jon Gruden, former Bucs quarterback Doug Williams and Bucs quartebacks coach Greg Olson will conduct the camp.
Plant coach Robert Weiner said he isn’t sure if Murray will participate because of an already busy schedule. Murray, along with his Plant teammates Orson Charles, who received an offer from the national champion LSU Tigers on Tuesday, and Hunter Baldwin, will play in a national 7-on-7 tournament at USF on Sunday.
The team will include other local players as well as players from state champion Miami Northwestern. Weiner will coach the offense and the Northwestern coach will handle the defense.

Every school in the county had their QB invited to the one day Buc QB camp. It was not a unique invitation or special to Murray. There is also 10 WR in the county better than Charles. He is too slow to play WR in college. He will be moved to TE.

I’m glad someone else said something about the unique invitation by the Bucs - This is a pretty nice thing the NFL and the Bucs are doing for the QBs of Tampa - One would hope it could be squeezed into a busy schedule.

The young man is 6’3, 230lbs, he runs a 4.5 He is getting faster every year I see him play. This young man is a coaches dream, he is coachable, meaning he never thinks he has it all figured out. He gets better with every lesson and skill learned or taught to him. God willing, and If he stays focused, he will be the next Shockey / Gonzalez / Gates. ..Also, if he wanted to play WR, he has Terrell Ownen size work mentality, with Jerry Rices hands and team attitude.

He seems like a great kid - I’ve been to a combine with him , but Shockey,Gonzales,Gates,Owens,Rice??????
Suggest removalLet the kid get through high school - I think he might end up a very good defensive player - but would need to get much smoother to play receiver at the next level - Let him enjoy the season . It’s the adults blowing unrealistic smoke at these kids that screws them up

unique invitation? give me a break. every qb in the county got the same invitation. murray will probably get an article in the paper next time he brushes his teeth. its startin to get a little ridiculous. and im sure there are a few more qb’s in the county that would throw for as many yards as him if they threw the ball a million times with the great talent he has around him. think about it
