If you believed everything you read on the Internet, Plant quarterback Aaron Murray was supposed to make a big announcement this weekend.
While attending Saturday’s Orange and Blue spring game at the University of Florida on Saturday, rumors had Murray declaring his intentions to play for the Gators, on national TV no less. Didn’t happen. Wasn’t going to happen.
Despite what was written on a message board, Murray never intended to make any kind of announcement. He was there, like the nearly 60,000 others in attendance, to enjoy a football game.
Murray stayed in Gainesville for Sunday’s Nike training camp where he was named Most Valuable Quarterback, beating out Miramar’s Eugene Smith, who won the honor at a recent Nike camp in Miami.
Murray’s Plant teammates Orson Charles and Austin Clark joined him at the camp. Other locals who opened some eyes included Wesley Chapel Kamran Joyer and St. Pete Catholic’s Jon Halapio, who took home top lineman honors.

Thanks for the update Katherine. Obviously the other commentor won’t be happy until Murray is arrested for something, then that will be exciting news. Not gonna happen, he’s a good kid with all good news that many of us enjoy following. He is a great role model that my kids look up to and look forward to hearing what’s going on with him.

Murray needs to go to FSU, not UF. He’ll sit behind Tebow, Cam Newton, and John Brantley. He won’t be able to play until he is a senior.
At FSU Weatherford (who s*ucks) will be senior. Murray will be able to compete for immediate playing time with the “athletic” qb they brought in from up North this past year.

You freely write mention that Murray was named the Invitational camp MVP but fail to mention who the QB coach was at the camp…WEINER! TBO- Do your homework and check your sources before you write such out of control, unbalanced articles. It’s one thing for common joes to chime in with bias comments, but you are suppose to be professionals.
