Jason Munsch has been named Riverview’s interim head coach a day after Bruce Gifford resigned.
Munsch, the Sharks defensive backs coach and track and field coach, is not interested in the job full time, Riverview athletic director Kevin Massena said. Riverview will hire a permanent coach when the season is over.
Gifford resigned on Monday after 3 1/2 years as the Sharks head coach. Citing personal reasons, Gifford informed administrators Monday morning and then met with the team in the afternoon.
The Sharks are 2-1 and host Bloomingdale on Friday night.
