Mosca named FABC 4A Coach of the Year

Tampa Catholic’s Nancy Kroll wasn’t the only area coach earning statewide accolades.

Jefferson girls basketball coach Tom Mosca, arguably the girls game’s greatest advocate, was named the Florida Association of Basketball Coaches 4A Coach of the Year. Wil White from Boca Ciega was named the 5A Coach of the Year. The winners were selected from a statewide ballot of FABC members throughout Florida.

They will receive their awards at the April 10th All-Star game at Jefferson’s gymnasium.

This past season, Mosca helped guide the Lady Dragons to the state final four for the first time in school history. Last year, Jefferson advanced to the regional finals.
