NOTE: Not long after this was posted, MLB removed the post from it’s Facebook page
Major League Baseball’s facebook page poked a little fun at the Rays, putting them on the cover of a fake poster for the movie, “Gone in 60 seconds.”
A number of the comments on the site blast MLB for doing this to one of their own. Others wrote they can’t wait to see what MLB does if the Yankees get bounced Thursday by the Tigers in Game 5 of their ALDS.
Apparently this is a theme since they did it to the Red Sox when their collapse was complete. For the BoSox it was the Boston-based movie “Departed.”
Good clean fun? Or poor taste?
Judge for yourself.
