TRINITY—Mitchell running back Ricky Trinidad remained on crutches at school Tuesday and did not practice for a second consecutive day after hurting his left knee in the Mustangs 42-27 loss to Clearwater Central Catholic on Friday.
Trinidad, who has rushed for 609 yards and 7 touchdowns, had 210 yards and 2 touchdowns against CCC before leaving the game midway through the fourth quarter.
Mitchell coach Brian Wachtel said he still doesn’t know if Trinidad will be healthy enough to play Friday when the Mustangs host Anclote in the start of Class 3A-District 7 play.
