According to Mitchell coach Keith Paulk, senior outside hitter Devon Felts is no longer a member of the team.
Felts did not participate in the Mustangs’ three-set win over Anclote Tuesday night, but played in Monday’s match
vs. Gulf. Felts was a key player amongst Mitchell’s rotation of hitters, as the senior according to MaxPreps.com’s
statistics was second on the team in kills with 135 and also contributed 70 digs and 21 blocks on the season.
The timing of Felts’ departure from the team comes one week before districts, with Mitchell traveling to
Tarpon Springs for the Class 6A-District 10 tournament.
“We will miss her,” Paulk said. “(Devon Felts) is a sensational hitter who has ‘highlight reel’ talent and charisma.”
