USF suffered its first loss of a player since the firing of head coach Jim Leavitt on Friday.
According to a report on ESPN.com, a source close to USF junior receiver Carlton Mitchell told the Web site Mitchell is skipping his senior season and entering the draft.
Mitchell, a Gaither High product, caught 40 passes for 706 yards this season, breaking the school’s single-season mark for most yards in a season.
