As part of the “Breakfast With The Bulls’’ community outreach to promote Thursday night’s game against No. 8-ranked Cincinnati, University of South Florida wide receiver Carlton Mitchell visited Shriners Hospital for Children on Monday morning.
He found himself talking to a young patient—a fan of the Florida Gators, actually.
“I told him, ‘Let’s make a bet,’ that I’d play him in some pool,’’ Mitchell said. “If I won, he’d have to root for the Bulls. If he won, I’d have to do a little dance.
“He got out there and he was pretty good. I was getting nervous. But I won. We got him on our side now.’‘
One fan at a time, right?
“Hey, whatever it takes,’’ Mitchell said.

One fan at a time… Exactly Carlton. Whatever it takes… That is why USF will succeed. The inner fire of our players has always been there. Everyone of them believes we are the best team in Florida. It’s only a matter of time before we can prove it on the field.
