Middleton’s Taylor picks Eastern Illinois

Middleton senior defensive end Demetree Taylor has accepted a scholarship offer from Division I-AA Eastern Illinois, Middleton coach Jason Stokes said.
Taylor, a 6-foot-3, 220 pound defensive lineman, led the Tigers with 11 sacks along with 73 tackles. Eastern Illinois was the first school to officially offer, although Ohio and Florida Atlantic showed interest. Eastern Illinois plays out of the Ohio Valley Conference.

Stokes said Taylor is the great-nephew of former Middleton football coach Abe Brown, who passed away on Saturday at the age of 83.
