Middleton hires former USF star Fred Lewis as head basketball coach

Middleton has made a huge improvement to its boys basketball program by hiring former University of South Florida men’s basketball star Fred Lewis as its new head basketball coach, Middleton athletic director Derrick Gaines said on Wednesday.
Lewis, who most recently worked as an assistant coach at Saint Leo University, replaces Darius Ford, who led the Tigers to a 3-17 record last season.
