Former Plant standout Dylan Brown, who spent this past season at the University of Tampa, was selected Wednesday by the New York Mets in the 37th round (1,112nd overall) of the MLB draft.
Brown, a junior outfielder, hit .333 with 11 home runs and 32 RBIs for the Spartans this season, earning second-team All-Sunshine State Conference honors.
