Our friends at The Love Of Sports.com have come up with a list of the top 15 mullet hairdos of all time and guess who is No. 4?
Yep.
Barry Melrose, new coach of the Lightning.
Actually, he looked like he trimmed it back to a “slightly” more conservative look for his news conference Tuesday when he was introduced at the Forum. It seemed to go as well as it could. I’ll say this though: Y’all think the MEDIA are negative? Judging by some of the email I’ve gotten, Melrose couldn’t win over Bolts nation if he stood out on Channelside Drive and passed out $100 bills.
My feeling on this was posted earlier today in a column that will appear in Wednesday’s Tribune. One thing that makes hockey fans great is their passion, and boy do they feel passionate about this guy - in a good way, and a bad way.
Me, I say wait and see. It’s not like there’s any choice, anyway. Barry Melrose is the coach and that’s the way it’s going to be for a while.
