Former Marshall head coach Mark Snyder will be named USF’s defensive coordinator under Skip Holtz. An official annoucement is expected later today.
Snyder resigned after five seasons as head coach at his alma mater on Nov. 29 after posting a 22-37 record, including 6-6 in 2009.
Snyder was defensive coordinator at Ohio State prior to his stint as Marshall’s head coach, helping the Buckeyes win the 2002 national championship.
Snyder will replace Joe Tresey, who spent one season on former coach Jim Leavitt’s staff and was let go Sunday by Holtz.

I’ll take it….that is some “big time” talent. From OSU to USF….hopefully he can make our defense play better than it does and more consistently.
He also must have some midwest connections (like Holtz) that can aid in recruiting.
