Favorite Food: “There’s a place in Wellington (New Zealand) called Zico which does Italian. A friend of mine owns the place and they do the best carbonara there.”
Favorite Movie: “I’m a Denzel Washington fan, I like ‘Man on Fire’ and ‘Training Day’.”
Pregame Music: “I’m a big hip-hop fan, so I like to listen to a bit of Jay-Z.”
First Soccer Memory: “I don’t know if it’s a memory, or if I’ve been told about it a few times so I think I remember it, but I played in my brother’s under-5 team when I was, like, three. I was no good, they were short of players so I stood in goal in my gumboots and I think my brother did everything, took all of the goal kicks, I just stood there making up the numbers.”
Best Soccer Memory: “Just representing my country. I’m a very proud New Zealander and I’ve been fortunate enough to do it in youth teams, under-16s, under-17s, and now I do it for the national team. On the field every time we sing the anthem lined up on the pitch is a special moment for me. I’ve been fortunate enough to play against Spain, Brazil, some pretty big teams so those are big games I’ll remember for the rest of my life.”
