Pregame Superstitions: “Not any more, I’ve gotten rid of them all. I used to have it where I would wear three t-shirts in the warm-up and every game, but now it’s too hot, I couldn’t do it and function anymore.”

Favorite movie: Lucky Number Slevin

First Soccer Memory: “One of the things that for some reason sticks with me is we played in a tournament, and we won it, it was about an hour away (from home), and there’s a picture of it as a (5-year-old) kid and it was the first time I’d taken a penalty, and I scored in the penalty shootout. I’ve still got the little trophy sitting at home. I still try to look back at stuff like that because when you get older and things start being a job, you start losing track of how you need to enjoy it.”

Best Soccer Memory: “It was a spring game in college, and it was the first time I’d came back after going through chemotherapy, and the coach let me go on in the last half, and I scored on a diving header and the whole place went nuts and everyone was jumping on top of me. It was a complete nothing game, but just the fact that it was my first game back, the first game I’d played in, I think it’s the happiest I’ve ever been on a soccer field.”
