University of South Florida women’s soccer player Nicole McClure was named the Big East Conference Goalkeeper of the Week after helping the Bulls go 1-0-1 last week with a pair of shutout performances.
McClure, a junior from Jamaica, N.Y., totaled 11 saves in 200 minutes of action in the two games. She had five saves in a 2-0 win over Pittsburgh on Thursday and followed it up with six saves in a scoreless tie through two overtime periods against West Viriginia on Sunday.
McClure, who has started in goal in each of the Bulls’ 10 games this season, owns a 0.68 goals against average and has three shutouts.
USF (6-2-2) returns to action Friday at Georgetown.
