Former Miami and Plant High QB Robert Marve’s list of possible destinations has been reduced to five, Plant High coach Robert Weiner said today.
Marve plans to visit Nebraska this weekend and then Texas Tech and Arizona State the following week. Marve also is considering USF and Purdue.
I was told last week UCLA was no longer interested in Marve, leaving only five schools in the Marve sweepstakes. Weiner confirmed Marve is down to five schools (barring any last, last-minute additions).
Marve, who would have to sit out the 2009 season at his new school, would have two years eligibility remaining in 2010 and 2011. He’s expected to make a decision where he will transfer next month. Stay tuned.
I’m just returning today from a combination vacation/furlough (great/not so great), so I’ll check back later today.

Just say NO to Marve.
How often is it you can cure cancer before it starts.
Vote “NO” on proposition Marve.

Marve goes where he goes. Not sure is that good to choose which school or if the PR person is helping him look that good. Where ever he finds himself he will have two challenges. Completing a degree program, competing for a starting spot. I am not of many if any that thought they were that good and showed they were.

Good Bye! See Ya! Have a great time. I’m sorry, but the hype you guys in the media are giving this kid is way beyond his on field and off field performances. Let’s face it, he’s just another kid who went to the highly recruited, highly stacked, and rule breaking through loopholes Plant High School. I wish him well…just not at USF!
