Sickles High product Robbie Anston, who recently finished his collegiate career at Boston College, was selected in the 26th round (792nd overall) by the Seattle Mariners in Tuesday’s MLB draft.
Anston, an outfielder, was one of the Eagles’ top hitters in 2010, batting . 324 out of the leadoff spot with 21 doubles, six triples, five home runs, 35 RBIs, 55 runs scored and 18 stolen bases. Anston, a second-team All-ACC pick as a junior, finished as a career .319 hitter for Boston College.
