University of Tampa assistant baseball coach Frank Maldonaldo is moving his office across town.
Maldonaldo is joining Lelo Prado’s staff at USF as a volunteer assistant coach, replacing Charles Cleveland from last season’s staff.
Maldonaldo spent five seasons at UT. At USF, he will work mostly with the infielders and on base running.

Maldonaldo is the second new addition to Prado’s staff since the end of last season, joining hitting coach Chris Heintz.
Prado is still interviewing candidates for the pitching coach position that became available when Lazer Collazo resigned to move back to the Miami area.
Prado said Tuesday that he hopes to have a pitching coach hired by next week.
“It’s an important position for us,’’ he said. “There are a lot of great candidates. I want to make sure we get it right.’’
