PITTSBURGH—The University of South Florida Bulls have answered resoundingly.
With redshirt freshman quarterback B.J. Daniels utilizing his legs—he had a 12-yard keeper and another 7-yard gain on third-and-3—and Mike Ford scoring from the 3, the Bulls have cut Pittsburgh’s lead to 14-7.
Daniels, who opened the eight-play, 80-yard drive with a 41-yard bomb to Sterling Griffin, has rushed nine times for 45 yards so far.
There’s 10:35 remaining in the first half.
