Bill Belichick may not be one of the more popular coaches in the NFL, but Bucs fans don’t seem to mind that former local star John Lynch is with the Patriots now.
The former All-Pro, who signed with New England just last week, entered tonight’s game late in the first quarter to a strong ovation from the home crowd.
The Bucs current corps of safeties, including Tanard Jackson, Jermaine Phillips and Sabby Piscitelli seem to be doing just fine, thank you, so maybe things have worked out well for everyone involved.

That ovation for Lynch was great. You people are classy fans. I don’t think us NE fans will be as welcoming to Asante Samuel this Friday, although he left under different circumstances.

Samuel was on a great team, Lynch helped made a team great.
