According to Bob McKenzie of TSN, the Lightning have placed defenseman Lukas Krajicek on waivers today. Krajicek has until noon on Saturday to be claimed by another team. If he clears the team has the option to send him to the minors, where he would still be paid his $1.475 million contract.
It is no secret the team has been looking to trade Krajicek since the summer, but Lightning general manager Brian Lawton has been unable to find a taker.
With Krajicek on waivers, he is ineligible to play tonight against Colorado.
