TAMPA – The Buccaneers filled the one hole they had on their roster Wednesday by promoting 2010 seventh-round draft pick Erik Lorig from the practice squad.
The question now is, where will Lorig play? The Stanford product was drafted as a defensive end but had been working the last couple weeks at both tight end and fullback.
The Bucs filled Lorig’s spot on the practice squad by signing linebacker J.D. Folsom, a 6-foot-3, 230-pound Weber State product.
A hole in the Bucs roster opened last week when starting safety Tanard Jackson was suspended for the rest of the season for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.
An NFL Network report said Jackson plans to enter a rehabilitation facility sometime in the future, but no details of those plans have been made available by Jackson or the Bucs.
