Longoria shares AL honor

NEW YORK—Well, here’s a bright spot in an otherwise miserable stretch for the Rays: Evan Longoria has been named American League co-player of the week.
Longoria hit .467 with five doubles, three homers, 10 RBIs and 10 runs scored last week. He shares the honor with Toronto’s Adam Lind.
