Longoria leaves field

PORT CHARLOTTE—Evan Longoria left the field earlier today after feeling discomfort from his wisdom teeth extraction last Friday, the team said. Apparently they’re just being cautious about a potential infection.
One other medical casualty of camp is senior adviser Don Zimmer, who is navigating the complex in a golf cart today after getting a cortisone shot in his left knee this morning. Zimmer said he stumbled walking between fields yesterday, and from the condition of the grass—or whatever it is—between most of the fields here, I can see how that would happen. It’s more like a bunch of thick vines.
