Chicago defensive back Jonathan Ordway will be in some familiar surroundings when the Rush travel to Tampa Bay for Monday night’s tilt at the Forum.
Ordway was born in Tampa and played his high school ball at Armwood High School in Seffner. Ordway also should be a familiar name to Storm fans, as he spent four seasons in Tampa Bay (2003-2006) and helped the Storm win their last AFL title in 2003.
Ordway is fourth on the Rush this season with 26 tackles, second with eight pass defenses and has one interception.
In other news, two former Storm players caught on with new teams Wednesday. Receiver/linebacker David Saunders signed with Arizona, while receiver Brent Holmes was signed to Grand Rapids’ practice squad. Tampa Bay recently released both players.
