The Lightning knocked off U.S. World Junior gold medal goaltender Jack Campbell and the Dallas Stars 3-1 Tuesday at the prospect tournament in Traverse City, Mich. Tampa Bay, with a 2-1 record, will close out the tournament on Wednesday against XXXXXXX at 5:30 p.m. Campbell was a first round pick of the Stars in the 2010 draft.
James Wright picked up a goal and assist to grab a share of the tournament scoring lead with five points. Carter Ashton, the 29th overall pick in 2009, scored his first goal of the tournament while Brett Connolly, the sixth pick in 2010, added an assist in support of goaltender Dustin Tokarski, who stopped 35 shots and came with 14 seconds of a shutout. Tokarski led Canada to a gold medal at the 2009 World Junior championships. Invitee Marc-Oliver Vachon also had a goal and assist in the victory.
